Kayoko Tanaka

To me, painting is the discovery of the hidden spirit in the Universe. There is the unexplainable power of duende; a mysterious power which everyone feels and no philosopher can explain. I have experienced from time to time, the mystical atmosphere of this power. Once tasted, it is an unforgettable excitement. I am always searching for this mystical power and trying to bring it into my paintings.
